This beautiful pure gold round is in an original plastic and is in pristine condition. The obverse of the coins features "California Gold" along with a Grizzly Bear (with its cub), which was designated as the official state animal of California in 1953. The weight (1 oz) and purity (.9999 fine) and the year (1994) are also stamped on the front side. The reverse shows the California seal and the words "The Great Seal of the State of California" around the rim. Made in the USA by Rarities Mint, and a very small number were made. Several have sold recently on eBay for nearly $2,000. We have only one available for $139 over spot.
